A deserted clearing in the woods. An unsuspecting passerby. A fatal encounter.

Death plays the violin, and today is his practice day. Death’s latest composition is a sweet and stealthy tune, a surprising ditty of mortality to reel the listener in – whether they are meant to hear it or not.

Featuring macabre mask and puppetry, with an eerie live soundscape, Death and the Carpenter is a new gothic folk tale for grown-ups. 

Following sell-out tours across the South-East, Parrot Theatre Company are delighted to bring this unique production to Ely Maltings. Written by Sonia Overall, with original music by Greg Ireland (Green Diesel) and puppetry by James Frost (Theatre of the Small). Directed by Roanna Bond.
