The Orwellermen Sea Shanty Crew - A very special afternoon matinee where harmony is the best fun - The sounds of sea shanties and sounds of the sea!

“The Orwellemen are a rollicking Shanty Crew who throw open their arms—and their songbooks—to one and all.

Whether you’re a seasoned sea dog with salt in your veins or a landlubber dipping your toes into maritime melodies, you’re heartily welcome. They host “Shanties at the Steamboat”, on the banks of the Orwell in Suffolk, where they belt out shanties and songs of the sea. Established in 2023 as a wellbeing group, they have established themselves on the local shanty circuit and in June 2025 were listed as one of the Saturday evening headliners at the Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival.
